  1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Alumni College: "Honing Your Craft Over Time" - A panel of former professors of creative writing: Elinor Langer, Gary Miranda, and Peter Sears, moderated by Roger Porter, professor of English and humanities (pre-registered attendees only).
  2 - 3:45 p.m. Growing up at Reed: Oral history group interview with children of faculty and staff.
  2 - 4 p.m. All-class wine tasting: Come sample wine from some of Oregon's finest alumni vintners, including David Autrey ’89 of Westrey Wine Company, Mike Bascom ’83 of John's Marketplace pouring some of his favorite Oregon wines, Peter Gladhart ’62 of Winter's Hill Vineyard, and Susan Sokol-Blosser ’67 MAT of Sokol Blosser Winery. Also enjoy a reading by Susan Sokol-Blosser ’67 from her memoir, At Home in the Vineyard.

literary reunion event 8 - 9:30 p.m. 100 Years of Creative Writing at Reed: Exhibition & Reading, with emcee Peter Sears, former Reed professor of creative writing. Sam Danon, professor emeritus of French, will lead a posthumous tribute to longtime English professor and poet Kenneth O. Hanson, followed by readings from the works of prominent alumni and faculty poets from 1911 to the current day.
  8 p.m. - midnight Folk dancing.
  8 p.m. - midnight Karaoke with MC Mateo Burtch '82.
  9:30 - 11 p.m. Open mic and readings with MC Mitchell Hartman, director of communications.
SATURDAY, JUNE 2

  8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Canyon Tour: Zac Perry, canyon specialist, leads this tour focusing on Reed's own natural wonder. Learn about the fight against invasive species and the exciting restoration progress. Please wear outdoor shoes.
  9 a.m. - noon Stop by for a cup of coffee or tea and a pastry, compliments of Alumni & Parent Relations at the Olde Paradox off of the SU.
  9 - 10 a.m. Continental breakfast and conversation with President Diver: Join Reed's president for a discussion of what is happening at the college.
  9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Tour of the tunnels on campus led by Steve Yeadon, facilities maintenance manager.
  9:45 - 11 a.m. Charitable Gift and Estate Planning Seminar with bagel and lox buffet: Writing a Will that Works. Discussion led by Terry Pancoast, Portland estate-planning attorney and counsel to Reed College.

literary reunion event 11 a.m. - noon Fiction reading by Janet Fitch '78, bestselling author of the novel White Oleander. Fitch gives a reading from her new novel, Paint It Black, with an introduction by Stefan Kapsch, emeritus professor of political science.

  2 p.m. Nuclear reactor tour, meet in the Chemistry building foyer. Reed College has the only nuclear reactor in the nation that is operated primarily by undergraduates. Licensed students use it for thesis projects and to increase their understanding of radiation and radioactivity.

  2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Reed heritage tour: Learn about the historical development of the Reed campus and its significant buildings.
  2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Classes of 1937, 1942, 1947, and 1952 hospitality center. Get together with your classmates over a cup of coffee or tea to reminisce and reconnect
  3 p.m. Class photo for the class of 1997/10th reunion.

  3:30 - 5 p.m. Oral history group interviews (centennial event*) for the classes of 1957 and earlier years, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, and 1997.
  4:30 p.m. Acoustic music jam (jazz/swing/folk/bluegrass) hosted by Scott Foster '77. Bring your ax, your horn, your rhythm.
  5 - 8 p.m. Romp on the giant slide (weather permitting).
  5:15 p.m. All-class parade: Wear your favorite Reed t-shirt or other Reed memorabilia, grab a kazoo, and join in the fun.

literary reunion event 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. "Reed College and the Birth of the Beat Movement": Three prominent Beat writers - Gary Snyder '51, Philip Whalen '51, and Lew Welch '50 - attended Reed and were residents of the same off-campus house from 1949 to 1951. Alice Moss '52, old friend and former resident of this dwelling, has researched this era. Join her for a presentation with representative poetry reading by Jim Fleming, Portland poet and teacher.

  1 p.m. Third annual alumni golf tournament, Eastmoreland Golf Course: Mark Twain said that "golf was a good walk spoiled." A group of Reedie naysayers try to prove him wrong.
