Housing

Learn more about local hotels and motels. Be sure to book early, as the Rose Festival coincides with Reunions and rooms can go quickly.

On-campus accommodations are in the residence halls. Note that as dorms, they are not luxury hotels and lack soundproofing and air conditioning; nor are they equipped with amenities such as fans, bedside lamps (except for Alumni College participants), ironing boards, alarm clocks, or toiletries. Each room includes a single bed and linens, access to mixed-gender communal bathrooms, and breakfast. We make every effort to place alumni from the same decade in the same dorm, but encourage you to register early. Dorms open Tuesday, June 3, at 4 p.m., and close Sunday, June 8, at 11 a.m. To check out, drop your key at Reunions Central no later than 11 a.m., Sunday, June 8. The cost is $35 per adult per night.

Children under 18 can be registered for $10 per night when sharing a room and single bed with a parent; children up to age two stay free when sharing a room and bed with a parent. If you have a child who needs a separate bed, you must register the child separately ($35 per child per night). Couples and families will be housed in the same room or in connecting rooms.

After-hours arrivals
If you are arriving after Reunions Central has closed (hours are Tues. 4-8 p.m., Wed.-Sat. 8 a.m.-7 p.m.) and are staying on campus, please read this important information:

For after-hours check in to dorm rooms, go directly to Community Safety, in the "28 West" building at 5436 SE 28th Avenue, to pick up your key.

Please note, this is a different location than in years past. Community Safety and the Reed switchboard are now located at the far northwest edge of campus on 28th Avenue.

Kids at Reunions 2008
Creative Childcare Solutions, Inc., offers safe and professional childcare during Reunions at Reed on Friday, June 6, 5–11 p.m. (dinner provided), and Saturday, June 7, 7–11 p.m. (dinner is not provided, but you may register your child separately for the all-class Northwest dinner). Pre-registration is required for all children and must be completed by Wednesday, May 21. For more information about prices and to register, go to www.munchkincare.com.
Questions? Call Michelle Davenport at 503/518-2274.

Other activities for the younger set include a Saturday carnival, the merriment of the all-class parade (complete with kazoos!), a giant slide, a spectacular fireworks display, and more.

Epicurian Delights
Bon Appétit provides excellent fare from dinner on Tuesday, June 3, through breakfast on Sunday, June 8, with vegetarian options available. All meals must be registered for in advance (with the exception of lunches on Wednesday–Friday, which may be purchased on site). Breakfast throughout the week is included in the dorm cost. Please note that Commons will be under renovation during Reunions. Bon Appétit will continue to provide its high level of service during this construction. Stay tuned for updates.
