Welcome to the home page of the Alumni Admission Representative program. This set of pages is designed to let alumni volunteers know about the opportunities with the Admission office for volunteer work, and provide you some resources once you are a volunteer.

Admission Alumni Representatives (AARs) around the world help the Admission office increase Reed College's visibility and reach. Reed alums have experienced Reed's uniqueness first hand and can help admission share our love of Reed with prospective students. By providing information about Reed to interested prospective students and by providing the folks who work in the Admission office with additional information about our applicants, alumni interviewers can be an important part of a student's experience of the application season. This program augments the efforts of Reed's admission staff while providing alumni with a meaningful and productive way to help our alma mater.

It is a big help to the Admission office to have a pool of capable and excited alumni volunteers to call upon when needed. There are specific ways alumni volunteers may be called upon. Click on the links below to see descriptions, and some guidelines for those tasks.

The distribution of applicants requesting interviews from alumni is such that some areas will not need an interview volunteer every year. But knowing you're there when we need a volunteer is very valuable.

Everything you say about Reed makes a difference--on an airplane, at the office, on the bus and to your neighbor's student. Thank you for sharing your love of Reed!
