Visit Information

Visiting Reed will allow you to experience tangible qualities of the Reed community that literature cannot convey. To get the most from your visit, we recommend that you plan to spend at least half a day, and up to 24 hours, on the campus.
The admission office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., throughout the year. You may schedule a campus visit by calling the admission office at 800/547-4750 and ask to schedule a campus visit. When possible, we would appreciate two weeks notice. You may also request a visit online when your visit is at least two weeks away.
While you are here you can attend an information session, a tour, and an interview, if requested. When classes are in session you can also visit a class and stay overnight in a dorm.
The information session will end with Q&A, which is a great time to get your questions answered. The interview is an opportunity for you to speak individually with one of our admission counselors or student interns in a relaxed setting for 20 or 30 minutes. It gives us an opportunity to learn more about you, beyond the required components of your application. Interviews are not required for application to Reed, and you will not be at a disadvantage in the admission process if you do not schedule one.

The most profitable time to visit Reed is on a weekday when school is in session. Vacations, reading periods, and examination weeks are quiet times during which regular academic activities are interrupted and visit activities are limited. These times are noted in the calendar below.

Last day to visit classes and stay overnight on campus. |

Students leave campus for winter break. |

The admission office is closed for the winter holidays. |
