Resources and Opportunities for Alumni

Welcome Reed alumni! Thank you for visiting the Career Services web pages.

How you can help…

Join the Alumni Career Network:

The Alumni Career Network is a group of Reed alumni who have volunteered to assist current Reed students and other alumni who are interested in exploring career options with professionals in specific fields. Typically, students and alumni are seeking information on career fields, graduate or professional school application, and job leads, as well as advice on how to explore possibilities and conduct a successful job search.  There's also value for students who search the network in a more passive way to see where other Reedies have landed, so even if you don't get contacted directly, you may be helping to fire someone's imagination and inspire career exploration.
  • Join Now! (Log into IRIS to make yourself a Career Network Volunteer)
  • Add a profile.  We're excited to announce a new feature available to Career Network Volunteers.  Open fields allow you to add a brief description of your current (or past) employment, as well as comments on your Reed experience.  We realize that a job title doesn't explain everything, so take a minute and tell us what you really do!  Log into IRIS to add your profile.
  • Keep your contact information up to date and visible to students.  Update your "preferences" in the online directory to show work and business information to provide more reference points for students who are searching the directory for networking contacts. To do so, log into IRIS and under “Personal Info” select Alumni Info Update to make changes to electronic addresses and your personal information, AND select Alumni Directory Prefs to set your display preferences.
  • Other ways volunteers help.
  • Submit job or internship opportunities (Connects to an online form; if you prefer, simply email us your opportunities.) These will be posted on our website, and can include part-time, summer, internship, or college graduate openings, for consideration by current students.
  • Tell us your ideas--we'd love to hear your suggestions on how to connect students and alumni. Email us.
