ADD, Creativity & The Workplace

ADD, Creativity & The Workplace

Tuesday, April 10

4:30 PM in Psychology 105 (Auditorium)

Kent Roberts, contributor to The Onion and humor columnist for ADDitude magazine (the only national ADHD exclusive magazine), is giving a lecture on ADD, Creativity & the Workplace.  Kent will discuss the ways in which his “disability,” enabled him to have a career as a comedian and co-author (with Kent Barlowe) of the book A Portrait of Yo Mama As a Young Man. On the book, David Cross (of Mr. Show fame) writes: “Much like the churning angst suggested in an El Greco sky or the sudden clarity accompanying (if lucky enough) a mid-morning evacuation, A Portrait of Yo Mama As a Young Man earns our trust, applause, and perhaps more importantly, our non-hard-earned dollar. Be careful—contents inside have been deemed…funny!”

Cookies and coffee will be served.  Sponsored by Project Eye to Eye (http://web.reed.edu/seeds/volunteer/Eye-to-Eye.html), SEEDS, Career Services and Student Services.

Later on the same evening, at 9:00 p.m. in the S.U., Kent Roberts will be performing Now Where Was I?, a stand-up routine, which although not certified by David Cross, is guaranteed to be hilarious nonetheless.
