A representative from Goddard College (Plainfield, VT) will be on campus to recruit Reed students for their MFA program in Interdisciplinary Arts.  Their mission statement includes the following vision for the arts: "The time has come for artists to play a greater role in society, to share their unique knowledge and worldviews with other groups of citizens, to contribute their creative skills to the progressive transformation of society and to the welfare of communities. We believe that art can contribute meaningfully to social justice, to the development of compassionate consciousness, and to a greater awareness of cultural differences and specificities."
