The Oregon Business Council invites you to attend the upcoming 6th Annual Leadership Summit on December 3 at the Oregon Convention Center.  Complete program info is available here:

This opportunity is especially appropriate for students interested in business, government, and public policy in Oregon.  Meet and interact with Oregon's top business and political leaders!  The normal registration fee is $125, but students who are willing to staff registration tables from 6:30-9AM on the day of the event will be able to attend and participate for FREE.   To take advantage of this opportunity, you must attend a brief training session on Thursday, November 29.  Exact time and location of the training will depend on what works best for the majority of students who sign up.  The training will cover basics related to registration and other event details.

Students interested in free admission should email their names and their school names to: brent@oicf.org.

Additional Information about the Leadership Summit:

The Oregon Business Plan's first five years have helped chart a course out of a recession and into a period of growing prosperity.  At last year's Summit, Oregonians committed to advancing our state as a global leader in sustainable development, with the promise of great benefits for the economy, community and our quality of life.  This year, we will discuss how to take this commitment to the next stage of action.

On December 3, you will have a premier opportunity to join Oregon business, government and elected leaders to discuss what's working, what's not working, and the best ways Oregon can distinguish itself as a leader in today's--and tomorrow's--global marketplace.

What can you expect on December 3rd?

You will hear candid discussions among leaders in Oregon's key economic clusters--from forest products to green building, from agriculture to high technology, from tourism to transportation equipment.  What do Oregon's existing and emerging clusters need to compete and lead?

You will receive a report card on the Oregon Business Plan’s progress so far and will get an advanced look at proposed next steps in health care, education, workforce development, transportation, innovation and public finance – hearing from key elected officials and business leaders.

You will have a voice in launching potential initiatives aimed at leveraging Oregon’s reputation as a “green” leader to build sustainable environmental, economic and social vitality.

There will be many opportunities for interaction throughout the day, including table discussions, electronic voting and a new, expanded reception at the end of the day celebrating Oregon food and beverages.

Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in this once-a-year event that will chart the course to keep Oregon moving forward
