NYC Career Night

If you plan to be in New York City over winter break, you might be interested in this special New York alumni chapter event: NYC Career Night.
The New York alumni career night on Jan. 17 (Thursday before the start of Paideia) will start at 6:30 p.m. at Solas, 232 E. 9th St., between Second and Third Avenues, in the side room. Valid ID is required (must be 21). No cost, just come prepared to pay for your own drinks. It's an opportunity for you to meet New York-area alumni in a social networking setting.
We've asked the alumni to identify themselves as either a RESOURCE (i.e., "mentor") or a SEEKER, so there will be a good mix of young and, shall we say, more seasoned professionals.
As a current student, you'd attend as a SEEKER of connections with New York-area professionals. If you're interested, please RSVP to career.services@reed.edu, with your name, area(s) of career and professional interests (e.g., arts and publishing, business and finance, non-profit, international organizations/ngos, technology, health and medicine, scientific research), and your preferred contact information (as you prefer others to see to include mailing address, telephone, and/or e-mail).
Someone from Career Services will follow up with those who RSVP to capture additional biographical information, which we will make available to all attendees, along with contact information, sometime before the event.
