Printing double-sided in Windows XP

All of the Network printers (such as the IRCs) can print double sided. Once you have set up IRC Spooler, you only need to make one small adjustment to print double-sided from most Windows applications. If you're using an IP printer go straight to step 2.

  1. Open Control Panel, and go to Printers and Faxes. Right-click on the printer that you would like to print double-sided to (IRC Spooler if you are printing to the IRC printers). From the drop-down menu, select Properties.

    Spooler

  2. In the Properties window, select the Device Settings tab. Scroll down to Installable Options. If it is not already expanded (if there is not a list of options under this heading), click on the plus symbol beside it to expand. Click on the drop-down menu beside Duplex Unit (for 2-Sided Printing) and select Installed. Click Apply, then click Ok and exit Control Panel.

    Advanced Tab

  3. Open the document you would like to print. From the File menu, select Print...
  4. In the print dialog, click on the Properties button in the upper-right corner.
  5. In the Properties dialog, select the Finishing tab. Under Document Options, check Print On Both Sides.

    Advanced Tab

  6. Click Ok, check your other print settings, then hit Print
