Faculty Multimedia Lab

Facilities and Equipment

Back to FML Basics.

Facilities

The FML is comprised of three connected rooms: the lab itself, the director's office and a student work area. Adjacent to the lab is a small, self-contained video editing suite containing a Final Cut Pro equipped computer (see below) as well as a VCR and an NTSC video monitor. The lab itself contains a screen, audio speakers and a computer video projector.

The furniture in the lab has been chosen for maximum flexibility. Our seven Anthrocarts can be easily reconfigured or moved out of the lab entirely if space is needed for a large group. With multiple power and ethernet connections, plus wireless networking, the FML can be configured for almost any classroom or presentation need.

Equipment

All FML computers are equipped with the major software packages: MS Office, Photoshop, Dreamweaver Studio, etc. Other applications can be installed as desired, provided licensing requirements are fulfilled.
