Further Web System Maintenance Downtime
Academic web server downtime August 11CIS is planning additional maintenance work on the academic web server on August 11th, from approximately 5pm - 8pm. During this time pages on academic.reed.edu will only be intermittently available and you will not be able to publish or update pages on that server.All other web services, such as web.reed.edu, IRIS, and Banner will continue to function normally.Please write webmaster@reed.edu if this planned downtime causes any undue hardship.

Web Systems Restored
System maintenance for the main campus web server was completed the evening of August 4th with any known resulting issues resolved on August 5th. Work on the academic server encountered difficulties resulting in a delay of required updates. Maintenance for this server will be rescheduled for next Monday, August 11th at 5-8pm. If you are encountering any lasting issues with the main campus server, please contact webmaster@reed.edu.

Web System Maintenance Downtime
CIS is planning system maintenance on the main campus web server and the academic web server during hte week of August 4: - main campus web server, August 4, 5 - 6pm - academic web server, August 5, 5 - 6pmDuring these times, users will not be able to either view or edit web pages on those servers.If either of these planned downtimes causes problems for you, please contact webmaster@reed.edu.

Hardware upgrade to Reed's Network Registration System
Tuesday morning, July 8th, from 8:30-10:00am we will be performing a hardware upgrade of our registration system.  This will involve short periods of outage for the following services: -New registrations on on the wired and wireless network -New connections to the wireless network All exisiting connections on the wired network and people are who already connected to the wireless network will not experience any interruptions.  Please call CUS x7525 if you have any questions or concerns.

Academic Web Applications Restored
Access to Webmail, Moodle, and other academic web applications has been restored. The service downtime did not cause interruptions in email delivery, and we do not expect any other data loss to have occurred.We appreciate your patience.

Academic Web Application Outage
Webmail, Moodle, and other academic web applications have been affected by a problem with our web server infrastructure throughout the day. We are investigating the cause, and expect service to be restored tomorrow morning.
