Planned Outages

Planned computer outage Feb. 7 - 5:00am - 8:00am (Posted )

Some computing services in the ETC building will be brought down at 5:00am on Tuesday, February 7th to evaluate possible water damage of sensitive equipment. We hope to have all services restored by 8:00am. However, if the water damage is greater than anticipated it may take longer to restore services.

We expect Banner to be inaccessible during this period. In the unlikely event of an extended outage, we may need to shut down other network and system services temporarily. Should that occur, we will use Reed's emergency-alert system to provide updates on service availability and restoration.

Access to webmail has been restored. Please contact the CUS Help Desk at 503-777-7525 if you experience further difficulty.

Logins to Webmail are not working. Technical staff are looking into it. Other services may be affected. An update will be posted when more information becomes available.

 Outage Complete

The scheduled outage was successfully completed by about 8:15am this morning. All services should be functioning. Please contact CUS at cus@reed.edu or x7525 if you encounter further difficulties.
