The Benson Hotel
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Benson Hotel (www.bensonhotel.com) in downtown Portland (view map):
Standard Queen room - $144 per night
Deluxe Double room - $159 per night
Parking costs $25 per night. Note that there will be a shuttle bus between the Benson and Reed, so you might not need a car.
Reservations can be made by sending email to reservations@bensonhotel.com or calling 888-523-6766. Please mention that you are with Reed College.
The deadline for booking a room at The Benson is May 13, 2007. However, as June is a very busy month in Portland, we encourage you to make your reservations early.
On-campus Residences
We have reserved two residence halls on campus:
- Anna Mann is an old-fashioned residential cottage, completely renovated in 1992, and now one of the most coveted residences on campus.
- Bragdon Hall is a contemporary residence, built in 1998, and known as the ski chalet for it's soaring stone fireplace.
Both residences have private single rooms (doubles available upon request), shared bathrooms, full kitchens and social rooms with cable TV. Both are a short, flat walk to conference events. More info about on-campus residences.
Residence hall fees are $35 per night plus a one-time $18 charge for linens and room booking fee.
