This announcement is intended to reduce laptop theft on campus. Be sure to use a jump drive.
Reed community safety officers are graduates of or in training with an approved campus public safety academy through the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training. They are trained to assist with CPR, first aid, fire safety, criminal incident investigation and reporting, and will present campus crime prevention programs.
Community safety officers will assist you with battery jump service and vehicle unlocks. Vehicle registration (login required) is free at Reed College, and registration provides information to officers so they may find you if there is a problem with your vehicle. Vehicle registration also allows community safety officers to call you to move your vehicle (if you park in an illegal parking area) before the tow truck arrives. Registering your vehicle is as simple as stopping in at the 28 West building and completing a form, completing the web registration form (login required), or just dialing '0' from an on-campus phone.
