Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History
One-year appointment. Start fall 2010. Salary and benefits competitive. Ph.D. or near completion. Specialty in an area of modern/contemporary art or architecture. The appointment entails 1) teaching art history courses in area of specialization; 2) participating in a staff-taught interdisciplinary Humanities course on modern European society and culture; and 3) possibly advising undergraduate art history theses. Reed College is a small, highly selective undergraduate institution with a strong liberal arts curriculum and an emphasis on excellence in teaching and scholarship.
