Do I need medical attention?
Yes (In the event of an emergency or life-threatening illness or injury):
- Dial 911 to call an ambulance for transport.
- Notify Community Safety/Switchboard
If an ambulance is called they can guide the ambulance to your location.
I don't know (I need someone to help me decide whether I need a hospital):
- Contact Community Care Line
They are available for medical advice and triage (at NO cost to you) when Reed's Health Center is closed. Hours are Mon-Fri 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and 24 hours on weekends. - Contact your HA or RA
They are a great resource if you live on campus. - Contact Community Safety
They are available to respond to your calls 24/7 and can also supply maps to local area hospitals and contact the counselor on-call. - Contact Counselor-on-call
Counselors are available after hours through the switchboard. A counselor is available for urgent mental health concerns and can also assist in
problem-solving urgent medical situations.
How do I get to the hospital?
Call 911
Notify Community Safety if you call for an ambulance so they can guide the ambulance to your room.
Call Community Safety
They can arrange to have a cab pick you up and bill it to your student account.
Call Radio Cab
If you arrange for a cab yourself you will be responsible for payment at the time of service. Let the cab know to meet you at Greywood and ask for a CSO to transport you to Greywood if necessary.
Have a friend take you
Community safety has maps to the local hospitals. Community Safety Officers will not be able to transport students to a hospital due to the distance involved.
What should I bring to the hospital?
