Administrative Assistant
Reed College Alumni & Parent Relations seeks a full-time staff assistant to provide support to all phases of a busy, team-oriented, lively staff of five. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: receiving and directing visitors and telephone calls; processing and responding to mail and email; proofing event mailings; working with the director to provide regular communication to national alumni board and organizing all meeting aspects; overseeing registration for local and national alumni events, utilizing Filemaker Pro and Banner; preparing and maintaining detailed records and budget using spreadsheet software; helping collect and record accurate alumni data and preparing reports; providing support for travel and events; and supervising student workers. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required, with the ability to set priorities and work independently with close attention to detail. BA or BS preferred. Requires two years of progressively responsible clerical experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, or any relevant combination of experience and education. Computer skills including database, spreadsheet, and word processing required and Macintosh and Banner proficiency preferred.
