Community Safety Officer, Full time position

Reed College is recruiting for a full-time, regular status Community Safety Officer.  Candidates must have experience working in a busy public organization spanning wide geographical areas, providing service to up to 2,000 individuals per day.  Need strong interpersonal communication skills, highly skilled in documentation and report writing, proven ability to work as effective team member with co-workers combined with ability to work under general supervision, a strong sense of commitment to excellent customer service, prior background in interpretation and application of rules, policies or laws for area of responsibility, with proven problem-solving capabilities in stressful situations. 

Qualifications:  Must have one or more years public safety, security, law enforcement or related military experience; or equivalent background, education, experience and skills required to perform the essential elements of the role.  Must have valid drivers license + ability to pass pre-employment physical exam, and comprehensive 10 year criminal background check.  CPR, AED, First Aid Certifications desired; current DPSST certification is a plus.
