HVAC/Building Systems Control Technician
Reed College has an immediate opening for a regular full-time HVAC/Building Systems Control Technician to provide journey level work in trouble-shooting, maintenance, repair and management of building systems for a large campus spanning 120 acres, 38 large buildings that total approximately a million square feet of space. The campus facilities include 24 student-housing dormitories with occupancy ranging from 10 – 120 students. Job duties include:
* General facilities maintenance with emphasis on HVAC equipment and related controls. Monitor and repair boilers, steam and water systems.
* Adjust and repair various HVAC equipment i.e. Gas packs, unit ventilators, VAV’s
* Repair and adjust pneumatic and DDC control systems.
* Respond to dormitory resident comfort requests regarding heating and cooling.
* Scheduling equipment for after-hours campus events.
Qualifications:
* 4 years experience with HVAC controls, DDC and pneumatic.
* Operating knowledge of building automation systems.
* Current electrical license, LBME or LME preferred.
* Journey level repair and handy person skills.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver’s license.
A Pre-employment physical will be required of a candidate selected for appointment to this role.
