SENIOR SURVEY RESULTS

Based on a national survey of graduating seniors at 39 private, liberal arts colleges, and over 11,000 responses, 2007 Reed College graduates are

  • 18% more likely to be very satisfied with their undergraduate education than the national average
  • 22% more likely to say they definitely would attend the same institution again

In addition, in comparison to the other schools, graduating seniors at Reed were:

  • 13% more likely to be planning to pursue a medical degree
  • 29% more likely to be planning to pursue a law degree
  • Over six times as likely to say they will pursue a doctoral degree

In comparison to graduating seniors at the other schools, Reed seniors were more satisfied with:

  • their access to faculty outside of class
  • their interaction with faculty
  • the financial aid office and their financial aid package
  • computer services and support
  • library facilities and resources
  • classroom/laboratory facilities

PLANS AFTER GRADUATION

  • 67% will work
  • 17% will attend graduate school immediately (65% eventually)
  • 4% will travel
  • 12% other activity/undecided
