Coach Mario De Ieso begins his first year at Reed and 12th year overall coaching basketball. Coach De Ieso hails from New England where he began his coaching career working with players in high school and AAU. Since arriving in Portland in 2002 he has served as the men's assistant at Warner Pacific as well as at the high school levels working with both the girls and boys at Riverdale and Liberty respectively. In the summertime Mario teaches basketball at camps in Italy as well as here in the Portland area.  In addition to coaching, Mario has taught physical education and health at the elementary and middle school levels and currently works fulltime as a counselor at Liberty High School. He holds a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maine and a Masters in School Counseling from Portland State University. He and his wife Natalie live in Portland.
