Alex began dancing tango while at Reed and a year later was in Buenos Aires, and shortly after teaching professionally.  Since then he has taiught Argentine Tango in over 80 cities in 8 countries and has made 7 trips to Buenos Aires to study/perform/teach.  He also plays the bandoneon and directs a tango sexet in Portland as well as managing his all-tango studio, Tango Berretin, located at 6305 SE Foster Rd.
