Heather Nielsen Clute joined Reed in January 2009 as the Nutrition and Wellness Counselor, an exciting and natural next step in a career that has always involved education, counseling, and health. Heather graduated from Texas A and M University with a degree in psychology and a minor in health and nutrition, then earned her M.A. in clinical psychology. Prior to joining Reed, she has applied her education and enthusiasm as an elementary school teacher, a counselor, a diabetes educator and consultant, and an employee wellness coordinator. Heather firmly believes in the connections between mind, body, and spirit. A practitioner of mindful meditation, and a fan of both the Slow Food and Real Food movements, Heather brings a mindfulness approach to nutrition, helping students to focus on noticing and enjoying what they eat!
Fun Facts: Heather ran the Houston marathon as her own personal stress-management program during her senior year of college.
