Map 28

This area along Woodstock boulevard includes several graceful old trees that date back to the days when Prexy, the music building, was once a private home. Two large oaks, a walnut, and a copper beech fill the area in front of the house, and the driveway is flanked by a pair of deodar cedars.
One interesting curiosity on this map is the monkey puzzle tree (Araucaria araucana) which is an attractive - if somewhat odd-looking - import from Chile. This tree is small and slow-growing now, but it could eventually grow to be 90 feet tall.
